The stock rubber bushings are great for absorbing NVH (Noise, Vibration and Harshness), but do little for performance. The large spherical bearings in BMR’s BK055 simply eliminate bushing deflection, transferring power instead of absorbing it. BMR's BK055 drastically decreases lower control arm movement by eliminating deflection of the factory rubber bushings. Weighing in at over 3/4lb - the 1-inch Bearing in this BK055 is the largest 1-inch bearing in the industry. This 1-inch bearing has a centre ball diameter of over 1.8 inches and is load rated at an incredible 90,000lbs! BMR uses heavy-duty 1-inch spherical bearings in machined bearing cups to replace the factory rubber bushings.

Designed for street performance, drag race, and handling applications, BMR's BK055 is the perfect wheelhop solution for any S550 Mustang being used for performance driving and offers huge increases in performance over the stock rubber lower control arm bushings. The OE bushings are designed with air pockets and are made from soft rubber. These “voids”, coupled with soft material produce excessive lower control arm movement during normal and aggressive driving. These install in place of the OE rubber bushing, nearly eliminating lower control arm movement by solidly linking the rear portion of the lower control arm to the cradle. This eliminates almost all lower control arm movement, reducing wheelhop and increases handling stability, while giving you a much improved overall feel in any performance driving situation.

Installation:

The cup and bearing press into the lower control arm and are held in place with heavy-duty snap rings.
Installation time is 2-3 hours.
